A FINISH WORTH PROTECTING

Why your floor looks dull no matter how often you mop.

Laminate and LVP have a thin wear layer with a factory finish. Most household cleaners, oil soaps and “shine” products leave a residue on that layer, and each mopping adds another coat. Over time the build-up turns into a hazy film that grabs footprints, shows every streak and scratches more easily. Our process lifts that film instead of adding to it.

We use pH-neutral, residue-free formulas with microfiber pads and a low-moisture method, so no standing water reaches the seams or locking edges that make laminate swell and vinyl planks lift. The finish is cleaned, not stripped or recoated.

Bright modern room with wood-look plank flooring

Film & residue

Lift the cloudy build-up left by soaps, polishes and all-purpose sprays.

Footprints & streaks

Remove the marks that reappear within hours of a normal mopping.

Kitchens & entries

Extra attention to grease, tracked-in grit and high-traffic lanes.

Safe for the wear layer

No steam, no soaking, no wax and nothing that voids your flooring warranty.

WHAT TO EXPECT

A clear plan, from inspection to a streak-free finish.

01 / INSPECT

Identify your floor.

We confirm whether it is laminate, LVP or rigid-core vinyl, check for residue build-up, scratches and lifted edges, and confirm the scope and estimate.

02 / CLEAN

Dissolve the film, not the finish.

A pH-neutral specialty formula breaks down residue while microfiber pads lift it away, with only a light mist of moisture on the surface.

03 / REVIEW

Walk on it in minutes.

Floors are typically dry within 15 to 30 minutes. We review the results with you and share simple care guidance to keep the shine.

A LITTLE PREPARATION HELPS

Ready for cleaning day?

  • Clear small rugs, mats and loose items from the floor.
  • Point out scratches, lifted edges and any polish or wax you have used.
  • Discuss furniture and access needs when scheduling.
  • Keep pets and foot traffic off the floor for about 30 minutes after we finish.

Quotes depend on square footage, the amount of residue build-up and the number of rooms. Ask about your floors before booking.

LAMINATE & LVP QUESTIONS

Before we visit.

Will water damage my laminate or vinyl plank?

Not with our method. We never use steam or a wet mop. A light application of a pH-neutral formula is worked in and lifted with microfiber, so moisture does not reach the seams or the core of the plank.

Can you remove scratches or restore worn spots?

Cleaning removes film, haze and marks sitting on top of the finish. Scratches or wear through the top layer are permanent, and we will point those out during the inspection rather than promise what cleaning cannot fix.

Do you move furniture?

Please discuss furniture and access needs when scheduling so we can confirm what is included and what should be moved beforehand.

How do I keep the shine between cleanings?

Dry-dust or vacuum with a hard-floor setting, damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner only, and skip oil soaps, vinegar, polishes and “mop and shine” products. We will leave you with a short care sheet.
